On the first snap of the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason opener, former Ravens wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown suffered a dislocation of the sternoclavicular shoulder joint and was taken to a hospital for examination, coach Andy Reid said.
“Hollywood Brown has that same thing Tyreek [Hill] had down here (Jacksonville), actually [in 2019],” started Reid, “a sternoclavicular post dislocation — they take [Brown] to the hospital, they’re checking on him. They’re working on that as we speak.”

When Hill suffered his SC joint dislocation in Week 1 of 2019, he missed Weeks 2-5 before returning in Week 6 and appeared to be back in good shape with two touchdowns and 80 yards on five catches.
Former Arrowhead Pride’s injury expert, Aaron Borgmann, gave detailed analysis on Hill’s SC joint dislocation.
Reid said Brown will “miss some time,” and if four weeks is a rough estimate, it’s unlikely the Ravens will face their former 2019 first-round pick in the NFL’s 2024 season kickoff game on September 5, three-and-a-half weeks away.
