The Los Angeles Rams do not appear content with their kicker young kicker, Lucas Havrisik. On Wednesday, the team added veteran kicker Mason Crosby.

In five weeks kicking for the Rams, Havrisik has gone 7/10 on field goals and 10/11 on PATs. He hasn’t missed any ‘gimmes,’ as his three misses are from 43-, 49- and 50-yards. Nonetheless, the Rams appear to be unsatisfied with his level of play, and have opted to bring in Crosby.

Crosby is ranked the No. 56 most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history, with an all-time percentage of 81.443%. In his last three seasons kicking for the Green Bay Packers, where he’s played all 16 years of his career until now, Crosby went 66/79, good for 83.5%. On kicks above 40-yards, Crosby went 23/32, or 71.875%. Havrisik has gone 3/6, or 50%.

With a shaky kicker situation, the Ravens could maybe benefit from the special teams operation trying to get everything worked in and comfortable. Each tenth of a second on a field goal operation is valuable, so maybe the Ravens find the edge against the Rams on Sunday.
