On Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens held their first practice before their Sunday tilt against the Miami Dolphins for the No. 1 seed. This being the first practice after after a Monday night game had the Ravens go through a walk-through to keep the mental aspects sharp while not wearing on the body.
With walk-through practices, the participation is estimated. That estimation has safety Kyle Hamilton, wide receiver Zay Flowers and guard Kevin Zeitler all absent.
The Ravens are banged up, as most teams are at this juncture. Taking a look at the Dolphins injury report. it’s clear both squads aren’t operating at full power. The Dolphins had around six starters out with injury.
- RB De’Von Achane
- RB Raheem Mostert
- WR Tyreek Hill
- WR Jaylen Waddle
- OT Terron Armstead
- OL Robert Hunt
The good news is the Ravens will likely see Flowers back in action. My assumption is his absence is mostly due to precaution and not wearing down the No. 1 receiver. It’s also worth noting Head Coach John Harbaugh said on Monday in the post-game press conference that “it doesn’t look bad for anybody [that was injured in the game. ... We’re fairly optimistic about everybody.”
Whether that means any or all return for Sunday remains to be seen, but they’re all likely to return in time for the first playoff game, be it Super Wildcard Weekend or the Divisional Round if the Ravens lock up the No. 1 seed.
