Shortly after linebacker Patrick Queen announced that he would be switching jersey numbers, third-year wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown reveals that he will also be switching jersey numbers before the 2021 NFL season. Brown appears to be switching from No. 15 to No. 5.

The last player to wear No. 5 for Baltimore was none other than Super Bowl XLVII MVP quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco was the first franchise quarterback for the Ravens after the team struggled to find an answer at the position. Flacco accomplished more at quarterback than any player before him for the Ravens, most notably in the playoffs which culminated in one of the greatest postseason performances of all time on the way to winning Super Bowl XLVII.
Brown wore No. 5 in college at Oklahoma. Since being drafted with the 25th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Brown has accumulated 1,353 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns. Similar to the previous owner of No. 5, Brown has consistently played at a higher level in the playoffs through his three postseason games so far, amassing 322 receiving yards on 18 catches, averaging 107.3 yards per playoff game.
