With this signing, Baltimore’s roster is now full with 90 players.
The Ravens signing of East Carolina undrafted free agent kicker Jake Verity puts the team's' roster at a full 90. The Ravens like to carry two kickers through training camp/preseason so Justin Tucker stays fresh for when it matters.

As mentioned by The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, the signing of Verity is to keep All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker fresh for the regular season. Baltimore has shown an exceptional ability to develop specialists at the NFL level as well, with kicker Will Lutz of the Saints perhaps being the best example. Although unlikely to happen again, general manager Eric DeCosta even managed to acquire a fifth-round pick from the Vikings ahead of the 2019 season in exchange for kicker Kaare Vedvik. Vedvik was quickly released by Minnesota.
Verity spent five seasons with the Pirates, scoring 353 points throughout his collegiate career. Verity has a career field goal percentage of 75.5, making 74 of 98 attempts with a long of 52 yards. Verity also made 130 extra points on 133 attempts.
