The release of the 2021 NFL schedule informed the national audience of its first primetime affair. The Baltimore Ravens will open the 2021 season on the road, their host: the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night. And though the Ravens are the away team, they open as 5.5-point favorites over their opponent.

Going off the past few years, I’d argue this is quite low. Head coach John Harbaugh and the team has done an excellent job preparing for their Week 1 games and the score lines speak for themselves.
2020: Ravens 38 — Browns 6
2019: Ravens 59 — Dolphins 10
2018: Ravens 47 — Bills 3
2017: Ravens 20 — Bengals 0
The Ravens, on average, are defeating opponents in a score line of 41 — 4.75. Though past performance doesn’t guarantee future results, the consistency is hard to not consider or influence ones thoughts on the pending game.
