A snapshot of the Baltimore Ravens roster after they selected eight rookies in the 2021 NFL draft:
Quarterback
Lock: Lamar Jackson
Bubble: Tyler Huntley, Trace McSorely
The Ravens will likely carry all three young, dual-threat quarterbacks into the regular season.
Running Back & Fullback
Lock: J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Patrick Ricard, Justice Hill
Longshot: Ty’Son Williams
Dobbins, Edwards, Ricard and Hill comprise one of the best backfields in the league.
Offensive Line
Lock: Ronnie Stanley, Ben Cleveland, Bradley Bozeman, Kevin Zeitler, Tyre Phillips, Ben Powers, Patrick Mekari
Bubble: Ben Bredeson, Trystan Colon-Castillo, Andre Smith
Longshot: Greg Mancz
Shockingly, Baltimore did not select an offensive tackle in the draft after trading away Pro Bowler Orlando Brown Jr. They are reportedly interested in adding veteran tackles Alejandro Villanueva and Dennis Kelly, ponying up the cap space to sign both seems prudent.
There will be a competitive battle to determine the starter at left guard. The Ravens may trade away one of their young interior blockers for a late round draft pick in August.
Wide Receiver
Lock: Marquise Brown, Rashod Bateman, Sammy Watkins, Devin Duvernay, Tylan Wallace
Bubble: Miles Boykin, James Proche
Longshot: Deon Cain, Binjamin Victor, Antoine Wesley, Jaylon Moore
After adding Watkins, Bateman and Wallace, the final receiver job will be hotly contested in training camp.
Tight End
Lock: Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle
Bubble: Josh Oliver, Ben Mason, Eric Tomlinson
Longshot: Jake Breeland, Eli Wolf
Baltimore should have room to keep four tight ends. Assuming Oliver flashes receiving ability in practice, Mason and Tomlinson will be left to fight for the backup blocking tight end spot.
Specialists
Lock: Justin Tucker, Sam Koch, Nick Moore
Longshot: Johnny Townsend, Brian Khoury
Moore is expected to replace longtime Raven Morgan Cox at long snapper.
Defensive Line
Lock: Brandon Williams, Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, Justin Madubuike
Bubble: Justin Ellis, Broderick Washington
Longshot: Aaron Crawford, Braxton Hoyett
After failing to draft a defensive lineman, Ellis and Washington could both make the team depending on UDFA competition and numbers at other positions
Inside Linebacker
Lock: Patrick Queen, Malik Harrison, L.J. Fort, Chris Board
Bubble: Kristian Welch, Otaro Alaka
With the top four set, Ravens decision makers will have to weigh the special teams value of a fifth inside linebacker against other position groups.
Outside Linebacker
Lock: Tyus Bowser, Pernell McPhee, Odafe Oweh, Jaylon Ferguson, Daelin Hayes
Longshot: Chauncey Rivers, Aaron Adeoye
A veteran such as Justin Houston could still be signed to round out the edge rusher group.
Cornerback
Lock: Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Jimmy Smith, Tavon Young, Anthony Averett
Bubble: Devontae Harris, Iman Marshall, Khalil Dorsey
Longshot: Chris Westry
The most talented and deepest cornerback corps in the NFL will remain well stocked 2021.
Safety
Lock: Chuck Clark, DeShon Elliott, Brandon Stephens, Shaun Wade, Anthony Levine Sr.
Bubble: Jordan Richards
Longshot: Geno Stone, Nigel Warrior
Roles for Stephens and Wade are currently undefined, potentially allowing room for Richards Stone and/or Warrior.
