With the 2021 NFL Draft rapidly approaching, I believe a refresher on the current Ravens roster could prove helpful. It’s time to take a look at the current state of the squad and offer our SWOT analysis on the offense.

Wide Receiver

  1. Sammy Watkins
  2. Marquise “Hollywood” Brown
  3. Miles Boykin
  4. Devin Duvernay
  5. James Proche II
  6. Jaylon Moore
  7. Binjimen Victor

Strengths

  • Recent addition adds NFL-caliber starter
  • Top 2 receivers both NFL starters
  • Depth boasts high potential
  • Scheme doesn’t require top-tier passing threats
  • WR2-WR5 on rookie contracts

Weaknesses

  • Depth has yet to prove viable in starting roles
  • Potential has not translated into production
  • Watkins no longer appears in prime
  • Lacks primary threat

Opportunities

  • Recent addition could help expand attention from Brown
  • Potential could translate into production
  • Draft/Free agency littered with NFL-caliber potential

Threats

  • Health of Watkins a strong threat
  • Development program has yet to deliver players
  • Scheme sticks in one-dimensional play
  • Draft board doesn’t fall the way the team wants/needs to land new player

Tight End

  • Mark Andrews
  • Nick Boyle
  • Josh Oliver
  • Jake Breeland
  • Eli Wolf
  • Eric Tomlinson

Strengths

  • Starter is Top 5 in the league currently
  • Both TE1 and TE2 are NFL-caliber players
  • Both TE1 and TE2 fit scheme incredibly well
  • TE2 one of the best blocking TEs in the NFL
  • TE1 on rookie deal
  • High-upside for many depth players

Weaknesses

  • TE2 suffered season-ending injury mid-November
  • Unknown product for depth TEs

Opportunities

  • TE1 continues to develop in production and scheme
  • Depth players flourish in good scheme
  • Depth players potential found

Threats

  • TE2 suffers setback in recovery, or does not return the same player
  • Scheme heavily relies upon TE1s ability
  • Depth at TE does not pan out
