Every Wednesday evening, I will be doing a livestream on the Baltimore Beatdown Youtube channel. Join me in watching some key plays and breaking down where things went right or wrong from the previous game. The goal of these is to watch alignment, assignment and execution from what the coach’s film shows.
In the Ravens win over the Broncos, their defensive line took advantage of inexperienced interior lineman and beat up Broncos’ left tackle Garrett Boles. Denver’s quarterbacks were unable to get comfortable in the pocket, as they took shots schemed up by Ravens’ defensive coordinator Don ‘Wink’ Martindale for four quarters.
Vic Fangio’s defense attacked rushing lanes and did their best to shut down the Ravens historic run game, which found itself running for 100 yards for the 43rd straight game. Denver elected to play their typical off coverage from two-high safety looks, which Greg Roman and Lamar Jackson picked apart consistently.
The film room session will be live every Wednesday evening, then posted here on Baltimore Beatdown on Thursday morning.
Without further adieu . . .
