Week 6 in the NFL was a whacky one. 10 teams scored 30 or more points and 8 teams won by double digits. At the same time, three games were decided by only a field goal and three other games were one-possession results.
In the first weekend with teams on byes, all but two of our writers were correct on 10 or more of their predictions. Let’s keep it rolling with Week 7 action below!
Updated standings:
- Spencer 70-24
- Mike 67-27
- Dustin 66-28
- Jonas 63-31
- BB readers, Josh 62-32
- Kyle, Jake 61-33
- Frank 60-34
- Vasilis 59-35
Consensus picks —
- Packers > Washington (GB-7.5)
- Patriots > Jets (NE -6.5)
- Ravens > Bengals (BAL -6.5)
- Rams > Lions (LAR -14.5)
- Buccaneers > Bears (TB -12.5)
- Cardinals > Texans (AZ -17.5)
- Saints > Seahawks (NO -4.5)
In another shorter week due to six teams having a bye, more than half of this week’s games were picked unanimously by our staff.
Everyone likes the Ravens to seize control of the AFC North with a win over the Bengals, where they’re favorited by 6.5 points. Another 6.5-point favorite is New England, who all of our writers picked to beat the Jets at home. Other consensus picks are the Packers and Saints as road favorites on Sunday afternoon and Monday night, respectively.
Nobody is feeling bold enough to predict a double-digit favorite will lose. There are three of these in Week 7: the Rams, Buccaneers, and Cardinals. Arizona is laying a whopping 17.5 points against the Texans at home .
Lone wolf picks —
- Vasilis is the only writer taking the Dolphins over the Falcons (MIA +2.5)
