- Adrian, Dustin, Peter, Kyle 11-5
- Frank, Jakob, BB readers 10-6
- Spencer Schultz 9-7
Consensus Winners —
The staff was in agreement on the following matchups in Week 2:
- Cowboys > Falcons (DAL -5)
- Packers > Lions (GB -6)
- Bills > Dolphins (BUF -5.5)
- 49ers > Jets (SF -7)
- Cardinals > Washington (ARZ +6.5)
- Ravens > Texans (BAL -6.5)
- Seahawks > Patriots (SEA -4.5)
For the second week in a row, we have seven games with the same winner predicted across the board. Once again, the Ravens find themselves in this section as 6.5-point favorites against the Texans. Another 6.5-point favorite is the Cardinals, who are coming off an impressive victory over the 49ers — who are a touchdown favorite against the Jets.
Our writers see the Cowboys bouncing back and defeating the Falcons at home, which would drop Atlanta to 0-2 on the season. The Bills are also a popular pick once again with another favorable matchup against a division rival.
Perhaps the biggest game of the week is on Sunday night, when the Seahawks and Patriots clash in New England. Seattle is a 4.5-point favorite and was picked to emerge victorious in this matchup by the entire BB team.
Lone Wolf Selections:
These staff members are going against the grain with these picks in Week 2:
- Jakob is alone in taking the Panthers to upset the Buccaneers (CAR +9)
- Jakob also likes the Jaguars to upset the Titans in an AFC South tilt (JAX +9)
- Dustin is rolling with the Giants to nab a win over Chicago on the road (NYG +5.5)
- Spencer envisions the Raiders securing a victory over the Saints on MNF (NO -5.5)
Quite a few interesting upset predictions this week, starting with Jakob — who has two of the four on this list. Jakob sees two divisional touts going in favor of the underdogs, the Panthers and Jaguars, who are each at a nine-point disadvantage. Both teams are looking to avoid going 0-2 after dropping their season openers.
Next is Dustin, who likes the Giants on the road against the Bears. Oddsmakers are spotting New York 5.5 points, a spread that Dustin evidently sees the Giants covering after losing by 10 points to the Steelers last Monday night.
Spencer is once again in the lone wolf section, this time going out on a limb to predict the Raiders to topple the Saints. Las Vegas is playing in their brand new stadium for the very first time and are 5.5-point underdogs. The Saints will be missing WR Michael Thomas, who is set to miss multiple weeks with a high ankle sprain injury.
