Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has earned many awards throughout his career. He’s achieved incredible success at a young age. Yet, when he’s earned his awards, such as the Heisman trophy award for best college football player or League MVP in the NFL, he didn’t cry. During his Heisman speech he fought back emotions to keep his tear ducts from opening and succeeded. But according to the man himself, Jackson admitted during an interview with NFL Network’s Steve Smith Sr. that he shed tears when he witnessed himself on the cover of Madden 21.
“I don’t cry about stuff,” Jackson said. “I didn’t cry when I won my Heisman, I didn’t cry when I won all the other accolades, but when I saw the cover I actually shed tears.”
Maybe, just maybe, when he hoists the Lombardi Trophy above his head sometime in his career, he may break once more.
