Will the Ravens follow the league trend of designing new jerseys?

New threads would only add to the team’s existing swagger

Although the addition of the Baltimore Ravens 2018 color rush, purple and gold jerseys is always a wonderful sight to see, I feel that a complete overhaul of the team’s jerseys is long overdue. Teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (to name a few) have designed new threads and I must say, they are looking pretty sweet.

The trend for some of these teams is to have jerseys with a color scheme not completely reminiscent to the team’s core, traditional colors. The two Los Angeles teams really went outside the box with their jersey designs.

The Chargers’ line of jerseys has all sorts of different combinations; the navy colored jerseys stood out in particular since all-navy Chargers jerseys aren't typically worn. For the Rams, the grey jersey is very sleek, and I believe the Ravens should include at least a touch of grey should they ever decide to update uniforms.

I personally feel that with the new era of Lamar Jackson thriving in Baltimore, new jerseys should be made to reflect Jackson’s greatness. The fact that Jackson and Joe Flacco are rocking the same jerseys in the photo above shows that the Ravens’ jersey creativity department is behind the times.

With the changing of the guard from Flacco to Jackson, which allowed for Jackson to have an MVP season and lead the Ravens to their best record in franchise history, newer and flashier jerseys would be a good next step.
