When you’re a Jet you’re a Jet all the way... unless you’re Jamal Adams. The continuing saga involving the New York Jets and their young star safety received a bombshell update today, with the player officially requesting a move away from the team, per multiple sources:
The Jets-Jamal Adams situation continues to deteriorate. Adams informed the team he wants to be traded, a source tells ESPN. #Jets

While this isn’t the most surprising development considering all that’s happened, it is somewhat bizarre that New York’s brass has allowed things to escalate to this point. Whether it’s the fact that they don’t want to pay Adams just yet, or they don’t see him as worth it in the long run, this has been a pretty big bungling by Gang Green as far as PR goes.
For Adams’ part, he’s already putting out the feelers on destinations that he’d be comfortable with. That list unsurprisingly includes the Ravens, who along with the Cowboys have received a ton of pub as a possible landing spot if Adams were to be moved:
Here are the seven teams to which Jets’ Pro-Bowl safety Jamal Adams would welcome a trade, per source:

Ravens
Cowboys
Texans
Chiefs
Eagles
49ers
Seahawks
Not for nothing, it’s a pretty comprehensive list that includes six other teams, so while there’s no reason to see Baltimore as a favorite in this process just yet, this is yet another legitimate link between the two parties emerging. Whether that results in something concrete remains to be seen, but for now Ravens fans should prepare themselves for a ton of Adams related speculation over the next several days as all of this plays out.
