The final mocks are posting and we’d be crazy not to pay attention. The hours are ticking away and Bleacher/Report’s Matt Miller has submit his homework before the deadline as well.
You likely won’t be surprised by the Baltimore Ravens pick at 28 overall but the surprise does come in the overall seven-round mock as the Ravens load up in defensive talent. But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
To enjoy Miller’s entire draft: 2020 NFL Mock Draft: Matt Miller’s Final 7-Round Predictions
And here is Miller’s pick for the Ravens.
The Pick—LB Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma
Some players look and move like they were destined to play for certain franchises. That describes Kenneth Murray and the Baltimore Ravens.
An athletic, productive, high-character team captain, Murray is the most productive run-defending linebacker in the 2020 draft class. He went on a tear as a one-man show for the Oklahoma defense the last two seasons and showed the ability to lock down between the tackles along with the agility and speed to make an impact in coverage.
The Ravens miss C.J. Mosley. Murray could replace his impact, leadership and production.
Yeah, nothing new. That said, it shouldn’t be new unless there’s new information and the Ravens appear to be locked down in that field.
As for the rest of his seven-round mock, Ravens fans may enjoy he doesn’t only pick defensive prospects as pick No. 55 is TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor.
As many have stated, this is one of the most loaded NFL Drafts in terms of wide receiver talent. Rather than reaching in the first round for your guy, many franchises are playing it cool and knowing there’s still a solid playmaker on Day 2, which is what Eric DeCosta does here in Miller’s draft.
This isn’t the big-bodied red-zone threat but rather another speedster to break open running lanes or break down coverages as Reagor or Marquise Brown go deep for six.
The rest of the Ravens’ picks:
60. DL Justin Madubuike
92. EDGE Jabari Zuniga
106. IOL Tyler Biadasz
129. RB AJ Dillon
134. S Julian Blackmon
170. LB Carter Coughlin
225. CB Grayland Arnold
