During a conference call with joint media, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson revealed he will be the cover athlete for EA Sports Madden ‘21.

Jackson will be the second Raven to grace the cover of Madden, joining Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis, who was on the cover of the game back in 2005.

Baltimore’s signal caller will follow Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes II, who won the NFL MVP in 2019 before being the cover athlete for Madden 20.

Jackson will look to follow in similar footsteps, as Mahomes and the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV in the same season that he was on the cover.

Fans will certainly speculate over ‘The Madden Curse’, although Mahomes clearly broke that trend by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy as well as earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Jackson stated he isn’t scared of any curse and said if that’s the curse, he wants that kind of curse.
