It’s NFL Draft week and it’s time for those last-minute rumors and leaks to surface for all to question whether the tweets and statements are real or smokescreens.
The first rumor which piqued my was the rumored Cowboys interest in Michigan center Cesar Ruiz, which was reported by Peter King, along with many other NFL Draft rumors.
17. DALLAS. “It’s too high for a center,” said one personnel wag, “but they love the Michigan center (Cesar Ruiz), and they could trade down a few spots and still be sure of getting him.” Interesting: a plug-and-play heir to Travis Frederick.
Colorado Springs Gazette’s Woody Paige is reporting the Denver Broncos are interested in trading up in the first round for WR Jerry Jeudy.
It could go either way. Don’t believe Broncos stay at 15. My sources tell me they go up to 8 or 10 and get Jeudy.

After trading their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft for S Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Pittsburgh Steelers show no sign of trading up in the first round, according to NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala
Doesn't sound like there's anyone who would compel #Steelers to trade into first round. Mike Tomlin says his plans for Thursday night are to take "a spectator's view." Then reiterates he's sufficiently happy to consider Minkah Fitzpatrick (who cost that pick) his first rounder.

Not an NFL Draft rumor but the Jacksonville Jaguars have just released WR Marqise Lee, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
A surprise: The #Jaguars are releasing WR Marqise Lee, source said. One of their most productive receivers is now a free agent – fully healthy and completely cleared medically — right before the draft.

A good receiver, yes, but Lee has struggled to stay healthy.
he’s caught 3 passes since 2017 https://t.co/6pXQ1EtELy

Even more Jaguars news as Yannick Ngakoue tweeted at Jaguars Senior VP of Football Operations about getting traded and calling out the staff for “hiding” from Ngakoue.
@TonyKhan stop hiding moe.

The rumor of New York Jets S Jamal Adams being traded to the Dallas Cowboys doesn’t have much bearing, according to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater.
Also, many of you have reached out about this prospect of #Jets S Jamal Adams finding a way to the #Cowboys. A source close to the situation tells me right now it’s all just rumors and there has not been any talks on that front

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Atlanta Falcons are expected to be the most aggressive team in the draft and could trade up into the top five.
.@mortreport just said on SportsCenter that the Atlanta Falcons are expected to be aggressive during #NFLDraft and could even move into top 5.

Remember: They went from No. 27 all the way up to No. 6 in 2012 to take WR Julio Jones.
49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin has been mentioned in trade talks. He also added that they "came close a couple of times" on a deal.
Lynch said the 49ers ”came close a couple of times” to trading Marquise Goodwin. He’s obviously someone the team could trade during the draft.

Acquiring offensive tackle Trent Williams is reportedly "still on the table" for the Cleveland Browns according to Josina Anderson.
I’m told acquiring Trent Williams is “still on the table” for the #Browns, per source today. "Nothing is imminent or super close right now," but the #Browns are keeping their thumb on the situation--meaning something still may, or may not happen w/Trent before or after the Draft.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have acquired tight end Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots in exchange for a fourth-round pick. Gronkowski had previous retired in March of 2019. The deal reunites him with quarterback Tom Brady.
Trade, pending physical: Patriots are trading TE Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick to the Buccaneers for a fourth-round pick, source tells ESPN.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys cut wide receiver Lance Lenoir.
In non-Gronk news: The #Cowboys cut WR Lance Lenoir, source said. More moves before the draft.
