Earlier today, Calais Campbell was on a conference call with the media to discuss his addition to the Baltimore Ravens. He responded to many questions and had a good few quotes to point out and highlight. The first, of course, being his move to join the Ravens for less money.
Calais Campbell says he took less money in an extension with the Ravens than he would elsewhere.

Campbell hit on this a few times, as well. Stating his agent wasn’t too thrilled when he decided a trade and extension deal with Baltimore meant a bit less. Campbell mentioned he’s made good money from his career already and that he wants to win. The ultimate goal of a championship is where his mind is.
Campbell on taking less with the Ravens. "Yeah, ha, my agent wasn't too happy with that. But I've made a whole lot of money from this game."

Campbell said he accepted less money from Ravens to facilitate the trade than he could've gotten elsewhere: "I was more confident in going to Baltimore even if I had to take less. There's not too many teams better."

Campbell said the Ravens made it worth his while to be here but he said "I was willing to take a whole lot less to be in a winning culture."

From his voice, I don’t think these were pot-shots directed toward the Jacksonville Jaguars organization or any other franchise. He simply sounded excited to join the Ravens and their culture. Their winning. Their MVP quartarback.
Campbell on Lamar Jackson. "He's done some incredible things and will continue to deliver year in and year out."

Campbell also had kind words to say about head coach John Harbaugh. Mainly due to zero players saying they dislike him or have a negative word about him.
Campbell on coach John Harbaugh, "Everybody I've ever talked to has love him. That's going back 10-plus years."

Campbell said, "When you talk to enough players, eventually somebody says something negative about a coach. That's never happened with Coach Harbaugh."

Campbell on John Harbaugh: "Everybody I talked to that played for him loves him. I've talked to a lot of people over the years and that really says a lot."

The biggest proof Campbell will fit right in is most likely due to his favorite player being Ray Lewis.
Campbell on @raylewis. "I always study greatness. Ray Lewis is still, probably my favorite of anybody."
