Ravens re-sign Anthony Levine Sr.

Co Cap is back!

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Moments after the Baltimore Ravens confirmed the re-signing of CB Jimmy Smith, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reports the franchise has also re-signed Anthony Levine Sr.

By far and away, Levine Sr. is one of the best special teams players in the NFL. He’s been an incredible contributor both on the field and on the sideline. Former special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg once went as far as to say Levine Sr. was a worthy member of the Wolfpack, featuring Justin Tucker, Sam Koch and Morgan Cox. His wisdom of the sport combined with his play has led to many great plays.

Levine Sr. isn’t just a special teams contributor, though. He’s filled in as both a linebacker and defensive back when called upon and answered in clutch moments. One play that never fails to come to mind when thinking of “Co Cap” is his pass break-up against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.

Reminder, he broke up a second pass two plays later.

Though I can only assume, I’m confident Levine Sr. has been a leader to this young defense over the past eight years in Charm City.
