The full terms of his new contract have not yet been released.
Koch had one year remaining on his previous deal and was slated to make $3.25 million next season. By extending him, the front office could free up some much needed cap space.
He has spent 14 years with the Ravens and never missed a single game. He holds franchise records for consecutive games played (224), total punt yards (47,451), longest punt (74), and yards per punt average (45.4).
The former Pro Bowler remains one of the best punters in the game. He also adds value as the holder for kicker Justin Tucker. Tucker, Koch, and long-snapper Morgan Cox have made up a historically great field goal unit for the Ravens over the past several years.
