Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds for Week 10

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Duke Johnson (RB, Houston Texans)

ESPN ownership: 16.5%

Week 9 stats: 16 carries, 41 rushing yards, 1 touchdown; 4 receptions, 32 receiving yards

David Johnson suffered a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. If he misses time, Duke Johnson will be a solid streaming option. Johnson received 20 touches on Sunday. He will likely see a similar workload next week, if he is the starter.

DeAndre Washington (RB, Miami Dolphins)

ESPN ownership: 0.7%

Week 9 stats: N/A

The Dolphins traded for Washington last Tuesday. With Myles Gaskin on the IR and Matt Breida dealing with a hamstring injury, Washington has the potential to see a lot of touches. He will face competition in Jordan Howard, but Howard has hardly been impressive. On Sunday, he gained only 19 yards on 10 carries. At his 0.7% ownership, Washington is high-upside flier in most leagues.

Curtis Samuel (WR, Carolina Panthers)

ESPN ownership: 42.4%

Week 9 stats: 9 receptions, 105 receiving yards, 1 touchdown; 3 carries, 13 rushing yards

Samuel now has four touchdowns in his past three games. As a result, he has 65.5 fantasy points in PPR leagues over the past three games. For perspective, he had 43.6 fantasy points over his first five games this season. Christian McCaffrey returned from the IR this week, but that should not hamper Samuel’s fantasy value. The majority of Samuel’s production has come as a receiver. He only had 14 total carries in the five games McCaffrey missed. On the other hand, he saw nine targets on Sunday with McCaffrey in the lineup. I would not expect him to continue to score touchdowns at this rate, but Samuel certainly has entered the flex conversation.
