In today’s crucial AFC matchup, the Ravens will be thin in terms of experience along their defensive line.
At the same time, the return of two important starters will be welcomed by the Ravens as they need all of the playmakers they can get on defense.
Here are Baltimore’s inactives:
Ravens inactives: OL Ben Bredeson, DE Calais Campbell (calf), NT Brandon Williams (ankle), OLB Jihad Ward, S Geno Stone.— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) November 22, 2020
So both DB Jimmy Smith (ankle) and ILB L.J. Fort (finger) return. Dez Bryant also active.
Both Jimmy Smith and L.J. Fort, who were absent from last week’s game against New England, will be active for today’s game.
Both Calais Campbell and Brandon Williams will be out today. After being unable to practice all week, both defensive linemen were given a “doubtful” injury designation, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these defensive linemen were ruled out.
As a result, expect heavy snap counts from rookies Broderick Washington and Justin Madubuike.
The Titans will also be without a number of their key starters for today.
Here are Tennessee’s inactives:
Key members of the secondary in Kenny Vaccaro and Adoree Jackson will be out today.
Veteran guard, Roger Saffold, will also be watching today’s game from the sidelines due to an injury he sustained in last week’s game.
The absence of Saffold could give the Ravens defensive line less difficulty when trying to stop Derrick Henry and pressuring Ryan Tannehill.
The depth of both teams will be tested this afternoon. As injuries inevitably accumulate over the course of an NFL season, the depth players will be relied upon to step up and play at high levels.
