Salvon Ahmed (RB, Miami Dolphins)
ESPN ownership: 0.4%
Week 10 stats: 21 carries, 85 rushing yards, 1 touchdown; 1 reception, 5 receiving yards
Ahmed was clearly the lead back for the Dolphins on Sunday. Recent trade acquisition DeAndre Washington was active and only recorded two carries for two yards. With Myles Gaskin on the IR, Ahmed has a clear path to replicate this workload again next week against the Broncos. He should be rostered in all formats.
Michael Pittman Jr. (WR, Indianapolis Colts)
ESPN ownership: 5.0%
Week 10 stats: 7 receptions, 101 receiving yards; 1 carry, 21 rushing yards
Pittman has now led the Colts in receiving yards and targets for back-to-back games. T.Y. Hilton is in the midst of a disappointing season, and Pittman appears to be emerging as the Colts’ top target. The rookie is a strong candidate to have a big second-half of the season.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR, Green Bay Packers)
ESPN ownership: 10.1%
Week 10 stats: 4 receptions, 149 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
I am not surprised that Valdes-Scantling had a big game this week. He is capable of producing 100 yards and a touchdown on any given Sunday. He is also capable of being held to just a few fantasy points on any given Sunday. Valdes-Scantling is technically the Packers’ second wide receiver on the depth chart, but he is predominantly used as a deep threat in their offense. As a result, he has proven to be one of the biggest boom-or-bust fantasy wide receivers this season. In PPR leagues, he has scored 19+ fantasy points in three games this season; he also scored less than four fantasy points in three games this season. Coming off a big performance, Valdes-Scantling is an intriguing waiver wire option, but he is too inconsistent to rely on regularly. Nevertheless, there still is upside.
