The margins in the secondary for the Ravens are becoming razor thin, and as a result, there’s been much speculation about what moves they could make to replenish their depth following the litany of injuries they’ve seen.
On Tuesday they made their move, officially signing veteran cornerback Tramon Williams to the active roster:

Baltimore is making this move after an injury sent Khalil Dorsey to injured reserve, and amidst Marlon Humphrey’s recovery from COVID-19. They recently had the 37-year old Williams in for a visit, and will make his signing official today in accordance with a rework of Tavon Young’s contract that gives them extra cap space to work with.
A well-tenured player, Williams came into the league in 2006, playing the majority of his career in Green Bay. After moving around a bit following a long term there, he returned to the Packers in 2018, remaining there through 2019 where he saw some action at free safety.
It’s worth noting that last year during his age 36 season, he earned a 75.1 overall grade from PFF, trending towards good coverage with an 82.2 grade in that category. While it’ll be tough to predict whether he can return to that form in 2020, especially after not playing to start the year, it’s an encouraging sign none the less.
We’ll see whether Williams is ready to go for Sunday Night Football at New England, but as of right now, you have to figure he’ll figure into Baltimore’s plans as quickly as possible. For news on that and anything else Ravens related, be sure to stay tuned.
