Eric DeCosta: “Finally, we are not finished building this team,”

Reading tea leaves or is there another shoe about to drop?

The Ravens announced their trade for Vikings DE Yannick Ngakoue and a statement by Ravens executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta sounds as if there is more to come.

“We are excited to add Yannick Ngakoue to our football team,” DeCosta stated. “Yannick is someone who we are very familiar with going back to the draft process years ago. He is an exciting player and a dangerous pass rusher who makes us better. Yannick grew up here. He’s the type of person we welcome in our building. Finally, we are not finished building this team, as we continue to chase our ultimate goals.”

I don’t believe we’re grasping at straws or reading tea leaves. DeCosta said it and with all the PR each statement goes through, it was intentional.

So, which player is next to join Baltimore? Noted options include free agent and long-time possibility WR Antonio Brown, along with also free agent and long-time possibility WR Dez Bryant.

The Ravens are lacking enough receiving threats to make a true run at the Super Bowl and DeCosta clearly knows this. I doubt it will take long for more news to break.
