Ravens vs. Bengals: Play of the Game

The Ravens secured another convincing victory in Week 5, this time dismantling the Bengals to the tune of 27-3. It was a dominant defensive performance from start to finish, with enough offensive sparks early on to get the job done.

Check out all the top moments from yesterday’s win and vote for your favorite play down below!

Devin Duvernay 42-yard rush: On the Ravens first possession of the game, Devin Duvernay jumpstarted the offense on just the second play from scrimmage. Off a designed end around play, Duvernay received a handoff from Lamar Jackson and turned on the afterburners after getting around the edge. Duvernay has demonstrated his speed on a handful of occasions this season, and this was yet another example.

Mark Andrews 5-yard touchdown reception: After two unsuccessful scoring tries in the red zone, Jackson and Mark Andrews hooked up for a touchdown on third down. Jackson stepped up in the pocket and delivered a laser, while Andrews effectively boxed out the smaller safety and corralled the well-placed pass. This score gave the Ravens a 10-point lead following Justin Tucker’s extra point conversion.

Marcus Peters interception: “MP Juiceman”, certified ballhawk.

Marquise Brown 2-yard touchdown reception: “Hollywood” finally found the end zone against Cincinnati for his first touchdown of the season. While it wasn’t in flashy fashion, it was a solid all-around play and expanded the Ravens lead to 17 points. Spinning and rolling to his right, Jackson found Brown just over the goal line. Brown did a nice job of finding a soft spot in the Bengals defense.

Patrick Queen forced fumble and recovery: Teammates in college, rivals in the NFL. This describes Patrick Queen and Joe Burrow, and Queen got the better of last year’s Heisman Trophy winner in the second quarter. After failing to initially get behind the line of scrimmage, Queen recovered and stayed in the play. His pursuit paid off as he delivered a crushing hit on Burrow from behind, lodging the ball loose and scooping it off the ground.

Marquise Brown 30-yard reception: Marquise Brown was back on the highlight reel in the third quarter, this time reeling in a key 30-yard reception on 3rd-&-5. The play was orchestrated by some impressive pocket maneuvering on the part of Lamar Jackson, but Brown’s stiff arm and run-after-the-catch made all the difference.

Patrick Queen 52-yard fumble return TD: Humphrey doing Humphrey things. Queen scoring his first career touchdown. Does it get any better than this?
