Updated Standings:
- Vasilis 36-12
- BB readers 35-13
- Kyle 34-14
- Spencer, Peter 33-15
- Frank 32-16
- Dustin 31-17
- Jakob 29-19
Consensus Selections —
The staff was in agreement on the following matchups in Week 4:
- Seahawks > Dolphins (SEA -6.5)
- Cowboys > Browns (DAL -4.5)
- Ravens > Washington (BAL -13)
- Rams > Giants (-13)
- Chiefs > Patriots (KC -7)
- 49ers > Eagles (SF -7)
- Packers > Falcons (GB -7.5)
Our writers aren’t envisioning many upsets this week. Our BB team agreed that the Seahawks will defeat the Dolphins, the Cowboys will bounce back against the Browns, and the Ravens and Rams will both win decisively despite being 13-point favorites.
Other matchups include the Chiefs and Patriots, which may not have the same juice as last year but is still talented nonetheless. Kansas City is favored to win by a touchdown. The injury-riddled 49ers and surprisingly-potent Packers will continue to roll after Week 4, at least based on what Baltimore Beatdown’s staff has to say.
Lone Wolf Selections —
These staff members are going against the grain with these picks in Week 4:
- Peter likes the Titans to win against the Steelers at home (TEN +2), the Chargers to defeat the Buccaneers (LAC +7.5), and the Raiders to upset the Bills (LVR +3)
- Jakob likes the Panthers to defeat the Cardinals (CAR +4.5), as well as the Jaguars to hold off the Bengals (JAX +3)
- Dustin chose the Bears to remain undefeated with a win over the Colts (CHI +2.5)
- Frank is rolling with the Vikings to upset the also-undefeated Texans (MIN +3.5)
- Spencer is the only writer to take the Lions over the Saints (DET +4), as well as the Browns to defeat the Cowboys on the road CLE (+3.5)
Quite a handful of lone wolf picks this week, which should make for some interesting results.
Peter is straying away from the norm on three separate occasions, choosing the Titans and Raiders to cover narrow spreads in their matchups and emerge victories. Additionally, he likes Justin Herbert and the Chargers to upset the Buccaneers. Los Angeles has lost their past two games, while Tampa Bay has won their last two games.
Next up is Jakob, who also has multiple lone wolf picks on the docket. Jakob likes the Panthers to improve to 2-2 with a victory over the Cardinals, while also taking the Jaguars to defeat the Bengals as a 3-point underdog.
Despite being undefeated on the year, the Bears are 2.5-point underdogs against Indianapolis. Contrary to the rest of the staff, Dustin likes Nick Foles and Chicago in this matchup. Same goes for the next two contests: Frank taking the Vikings to defeat the Texans, while Spencer is rolling with Detroit over New Orleans.
