Ravens vs. Browns: Week 4 Inactive List

Both teams will be missing key players in this afternoon’s divisional matchup

NFL: Baltimore Ravens-Training Camp Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

A key run stopper for the Ravens will not be active for this week’s matchup. Concurrently, many of the players that have been inactive since the start of the season will not be active today.

Here are the Ravens’ inactives:

The Ravens run defense will need to step up with the notable absence of Brandon Williams. A late addition to the injury report because of a knee injury, Williams will be watching from the sidelines during today’s bout. Defensive tackles Michael Pierce and Patrick Ricard will need to step up to prevent any long runs from Browns RB Nick Chubb.

At the same time, pass rusher Jaylon Ferguson will be active for the second week in a row. Hopefully he will get more snaps and make more of an impact than last week.

Daylon Mack will also see action for the first time in his career. Expect Mack to receive a decent amount of snaps. Ricard and Pierce will see great volume today and thus, at times, will need rest.

The Browns also have a number of impact players that will not be suiting up for today’s game. Two starting cornerbacks, in an already thin defensive backfield, will not be playing after being listed as questionable to play. Here are the inactives for the Browns:

The absences of both Greedy Williams and Denzel Ward may prove to be very impactful. Expect Greg Roman to call plays that will allow for Lamar Jackson to take some downfield shots, especially with Marquise Brown.

The absence of Rashard Higgins takes away a reliable receiver from the Browns offense. Though the emphasis would imperatively be on Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Higgins, as one of Baker Mayfield’s preferred targets, has given the Ravens problems in the past.

Additionally, the Browns will be missing starters Genard Avery and Morgan Burnett.
