Another weekend in the books, another exciting weekend of NFL football awaits. We’re back with our weekly game picks here at Baltimore Beatdown, featuring nine members of our staff and you - the reader! Check out all the action below and vote on the polls.

Analysis of Baltimore Beatdown’s Staff Picks

Consensus Selections

Our team agreed on the five following outcomes for Week 3:

  • New England Patriots > New York Jets
  • Green Bay Packers > Denver Broncos
  • Dallas Cowboys > Miami Dolphins
  • Seattle Seahawks > New Orleans Saints
  • Los Angeles Rams > Cleveland Browns

Not many surprises here. The Patriots are an easy pick to beat the Jets, who are starting Luke Falk at quarterback (who?) after backup Trevor Siemian broke his ankle in Week 2. Green Bay’s emerging defense should be a challenge for Joe Flacco and the winless Broncos on the road, as do the Saints without Drew Brees.

Nobody in the world is picking the Dolphins to beat the Cowboys. Cleveland is fresh off a 20-point victory over the Jets, but none of our writers envision them upsetting the defending NFC champions.

“Lone Wolf”

The following writers are alone in the these selections:

  • Kyle Barber is the only participator who picked the Lions to take down the Eagles in Philadelphia
  • Eric is by himself in picking the 0-2 Panthers to defeat the Cardinals

“Coin Flip”

These games saw the most even splits:

  • Tennessee Titans (5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (4)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (5) vs. Baltimore Ravens (4)
  • Houston Texans (5) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (4)

Thursday night’s AFC South showdown figures to be a defensive struggle, as the Titans and Jaguars have two of the better units in the league on that side of the ball. Can Gardner Minshew secure his first victory? Four of our writers believe so, and four more of our writers are riding with the Ravens to avenge last year’s loss in Kansas City.
