Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Open Thread

Back in action

The third preseason game is underway in Philadelphia, PA as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Eagles.

Many are uncertain just how much the starting offense will play as just two days ago it was reported LT Ronnie Stanley sat out of practice with a wrapped ankle and LG Jermaine Eluemunor was carted off practice on Monday. It’s also worth noting RG Marshal Yanda is not participating in the preseason and is scheduled to play Week 1 of the regular season, meaning three of five starting lineman will not be on the field to begin the game. If so, I expect Lamar Jackson to play a shorter amount than normal.

As for the rest of the team, we may watch the coveted secondary who received high praise in this weeks’ joint practices dominate early. If all starters end up playing, take focus on two things.

  • How are Earl Thomas III and Tony Jefferson moving around and communicating.
  • Who is in the slot with the loss of Tavon Young?

It sounds like Marquise Brown will see his first action of the preseason tonight as The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reports Hollywood is down on the field in full uniform and still participating in warm-up.
