Another familiar face may return to Charm City

The Ravens let go second-year receiver Jordan Lasley and consequently have a roster spot to fill for the next few weeks of camp. They appeared to do so with a familiar face, based upon a report that just emerged.

Having signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2013, fans will best remember Trawick for an infamous incident during his rookie year where he collided with Jacoby Jones on a punt return and injured his knee for several weeks. His first stint with Baltimore was relatively brief and he’s bounced around the league a bit since, having spent time with Miami, Chicago, Oakland, and most recently Tennessee.

Things began to click for him when he joined the Titans as he made the 2017 pro bowl as a special teamer. With his contract having expired at the end of 2018, Trawick has been a free agent throughout this offseason.

Unfortunately for Trawick, he’ll have to wait a little longer to get back into the NFL as the Ravens announced the signing of LB Nicholas Grigsby.

Grigsby went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft but was signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Rams and joined their practice squad. In late November, the linebacker was promoted to the active roster where he saw six games of action. He was waived the next season and then joined the Ravens’ practice squad. He didn’t last long with the Ravens as the New England Patriots signed him to their active roster where he played five games.

His most recent action was joining the Detroit Lions’ practice squad and then playing on their active roster. Once more, though, he was released.

Now, he’s back in Charm City where he may carve out a role where the Ravens are a bit thin.
