The Baltimore Sooners are alive and well as the Ravens draft G Ben Powers with the 123rd pick.

Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 307 pounds
Rugged, three-year starter for well-regarded Oklahoma offensive line. Year playing junior college ball due to a lack of scholarship continues to feed his grudge-holding play demeanor on the field. Powers has decent play strength and operates with solid technique but lacks the bend and athletic ability teams look for in a starting guard. He could be a backup guard with a chance to work his way up the ladder for a team who values force over finesse. — Lance Zierlein
It’s great to see the Ravens see a program with such high development and to seek out their players. Just as they do with Alabama, they go to the big school with good players and develop them further into NFL starters. I expect Powers to battle it out against James Hurst, Alex Lewis and Bradley Bozeman for the left guard position.
Also, he sounds quite like a Raven.
Oklahoma G Ben Powers, just drafted by the Ravens, was asked last year at Big 12 media day what motivates him.
