Ravens 2019 Roster Breakdown: Post-draft edition

New general manager Eric DeCosta added eight potential contributors to the Baltimore Ravens via the 2019 NFL draft. Battles will rage during training camp for precious spots on the 53-man regular season squad. A current breakdown of the roster:

Quarterback

Lock: Lamar Jackson, Robert Griffin III

Bubble: Trace McSorely

Synopsis: Baltimore will likely carry three quarterbacks again, this year under a congruent system.

Running Back

Lock: Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, Kenneth Dixon

Bubble: De’Lance Turner

Longshot: Tyler Ervin, Christopher Ezeala

Synopsis: Dixon’s play down the stretch in 2018 should earn him an opportunity to prove his reliability.

Wide receiver

Lock: Willie Snead IV, Chris Moore, Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin, Seth Roberts

Bubble: Jordan Lasley, Jaleel Scott

Longshot: Quincy Adeboyejo

Synopsis: The future of 2018 draft picks Lasley and Scott will be determined in training camp.

Tight End

Lock: Nick Boyle, Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst

Longshot: Nick Keizer

Synopsis: The complementary trio of tight ends will be a focal point of the offense.

Offensive Line

Lock: Ronnie Stanley, James Hurst, Matt Skura, Marshal Yanda, Orlando Brown Jr., Bradley Bozeman, Ben Powers

Bubble: Greg Senat, Alex Lewis, Jermaine Eluemunor,

Longshot: Randin Crecelius, Kofi Amichia, Steven Moore

Synopsis: As many as ten blockers could make the final roster, competition for the final spots should be fierce.

Special Teams

Lock: Justin Tucker, Sam Koch, Morgan Cox

Longshot: Kaare Vedvik

Synopsis: Continuity.

Defensive Line

Lock: Brandon Williams, Michael Pierce, Willie Henry, Chris Wormley, Daylon Mack, Zach Sieler

Bubble: Patrick Ricard

Synopsis: A deep rotation of lineman will be beneficial after the Week 8 bye.

Linebacker

Lock: Matt Judon, Patrick Onwuasor, Kenny Young, Tim Williams, Tyus Bowser, Jaylon Ferguson, Chris Board

Bubble: Alvin Jones, Matthew Thomas,

Longshot: Ejuan Price

Synopsis: The front office may add a veteran free agent to this cast of relative youngsters.

Cornerback

Lock: Jimmy Smith, Marlon Humphrey, Brandon Carr, Tavon Young, Anthony Averett, Justin Bethel, Iman Marshall

Bubble: Maurice Canady, Cyrus Jones, Stanley Jean-Baptiste,

Longshot: Bennett Jackson, Robertson Daniel

Synopsis: With this exceptionally deep group of cover men, the Ravens are well positioned for 2019 and beyond.

Safety

Lock: Earl Thomas, Tony Jefferson, Anthony Levine Sr., Chuck Clark, DeShon Elliott

Synopsis: Behind the unquestioned starters, the backup safeties should contribute in substitution packages and on special teams.
