Should the Ravens draft a typical pocket QB (just in case)?

With the style that Lamar plays with, there is undeniably an increased risk of injury. Whether that be from a hit or just a sharp cut on turf. Though minor, he couldn't finish 2 games last season due to injuries. I believe his ability to protect himself will improve with experience but how many hits can his frame take and how many cuts on turf before he plants wrong?

Everyone is hoping Lamar takes strides to be a better passer. He has a cannon for an arm and has seemingly great vision. But what he lacks and the hardest parts to teach a QB are touch and accuracy. Typically they are gifts that you have or don't. Rarely do QBs take giant leaps (or have giant collapses) in completion percentage. Lamar will have to be the exception to the rule for the Ravens to have success and legit Super Bowl aspirations.

Can the Ravens respond to their season ending loss to the Chargers who seemingly cracked the code of the offense? Until desperate and Chargers loosening the clamps, the Ravens offense had nothing for the Chargers defense who saw them for the second time. All of the Ravens AFC North foes have seen the Lamar offense and will now have multiple games each year to plan. Can the Ravens make adjustments with this offense? With an entire off season and camp with LJ at the helm, you hope they can create adjustments to counter other teams adjustments.

The Ravens seem to be completely sold on LJ as they have decided to build the ENTIRE team around him. The veteran exodus on defense has just as much to do with turning this team over to LJ as the Flacco trade. LJ is now THE face of this team and franchise.

I am in LJs corner as his game is unquestionably thrilling but at same time, scares the hell out of me. Going all in with this unconventional style really paints themselves in a corner should things not work as hoped. Should they prepare for plan B or is that a detriment to LJ? I can see both arguments. Teams always want to be 100% bought in but this so unconventional that it could set them back for years if it goes awry. There is only 1 LJ. You're not finding another to plug into this offense if he gets hurt or doesn't improve. Would require a complete reboot.
