Yesterday, news broke that RB Alex Collins was arrested after a car crash. Shortly thereafter, the Ravens announced they had waived the running back. This was of no surprise as Collins wasn’t a large participant in the 2018 season due to injuries and a lack of production when on the field. Today, fans realize why the Ravens quickly waived the running back.

According to the District Court of Maryland arrest records, Collins was arrested on three charges, two misdemeanors and a felony.

  • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA 10+ GRAMS — Misdemeanor
  • POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE — Felony Circuit Court
  • HANGUN IN VEHICLE — Misdemeanor

The penalty for possession with intent to distribute can carry up to five years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.

Once Collins was arrested, police acquired a search warrant for Collins’ home. They discovered two rifles and less than 10 grams of marijuana.

Collins was released early on Saturday morning on $7,500 bond.
