Ravens vs. 49ers: Play of the game

It wasn’t pretty, but the Ravens grinded out a victory against the 49ers on Sunday. Despite poor playing conditions due to rainy weather from start to finish, there were still numerous highlight moments throughout the game.

Check out all the top ones below and vote for your favorite in the poll!

Chuck Clark sack and forced fumble: Since taking over as the team’s starting strong safety for the injured Tony Jefferson, Chuck Clark has been a revelation. He made a key play once again on Sunday, coming up with a sack and forced fumble in the first quarter. The 49ers had just scored on their opening possession and got the ball back, looking to extend their lead. Clark shed an initial chop block and got back into the play, bringing Jimmy Garoppolo down with some help from DE Jihad Ward. Because the 49ers were at their own 30 yard line, this play set the Ravens offense up with great field position.

Mark Andrews 20-yard touchdown reception: While his yardage and reception totals have paled in comparison to Week 1 and Week 2, TE Mark Andrews has been on a scoring tear recently. This continued on Sunday, when the team’s leading receiver caught a 20-yard lob from Jackson in the first quarter. It was not only a great pass but a nice job by Andrews to track the ball and retrieve it in the air. To cap it off, Andrews busted out the “plant the flag” celebration . . . a not so subtle jab at Nick Bosa.

Lamar Jackson ankle-breaking 7-yard rush: Normally, a 7-yard rushing play would not constitute as a highlight play. However, Lamar Jackson isn’t normal. Faking the handoff to Mark Ingram on 2nd-&-10, Jackson kept the ball and proceeded to put DB K’Waun Williams on skates, nearly shaking him out of his shoes. Video game stuff right here.

Chris Wormley pass deflection: An unexpected hero for the Ravens this week was Chris Wormley, who made a key play late in the fourth quarter. With the 49ers driving and looking to convert a go-ahead score, Wormley batted down a Garoppolo pass attempt on fourth down. It was nearly intercepted by Jaylon Ferguson but nevertheless forced a turnover on downs, giving the ball back to Lamar Jackson and company.

Justin Tucker 49-yard field goal: The GOAT strikes again . . .
