Tonight is all about records and Lamar Jackson has broken two and just tied another as he throws his fifth passing touchdown of the night against the New York Jets. This one is a franchise record, and more specifically the most passing touchdowns in a single season. Jackson is now tied with Vinny Testaverde with 33 passing touchdowns.
Lamar Jackson has 5 TD passes, 33 this season. Ties Vinny Testaverde’s single-season Ravens record set in 1996.

It’s quite a shock to see Jackson tie this record so quickly. His throwing ability has come far since his rookie season. There were questions—fair questions, about his throwing at the next level. He had a lot to work on and adjust and he did so in the offseason. Now, he’s airing out touchdown after touchdown and tying the most passing touchdowns by a Raven in a single season and done so on the same night he broke the record for most rushing yards in a single season by a quarterback, ever.
Not even the sky was the limit for Jackson when he was drafted and now he’s demonstrating the potential we all saw.
