Lamar Jackson breaks the NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback

It didn’t take him two seasons in the NFL to break such a prestigious record

Not even two full NFL seasons are in the books for QB Lamar Jackson and yet, he has set another NFL record. He is now the proud owner of the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single season, surpassing Michael Vick.

The wild part about it is Jackson did so against multiple number one rated defenses. He gashed the New England Patriots and their vaunted defense. He eclipsed 100 rushing yards against the San Francisco 49ers. Jackson also ran for over 200 yards against the Bengals in their two matchups combined.

The brilliance of Jackson this season has set NFL media into a frenzy, debating if this is the new era of football. Nobody has the answer quite yet but the Ravens offense hasn’t been stopped all year long. The team averages over 400 yards per game, including a rushing average of 200.9 yards per game. They’re a freight train on the ground combined with a quarterback who is leading the NFL in passing touchdowns. Soon enough, this man will be crowned league MVP and the battle for the Lombardi Trophy shall begin.
