After enjoying a bye week following a huge road win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7, the Baltimore Ravens return to action against one of the best teams in the league when they face the undefeated New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.
New England boasts the best defense in the NFL while the Ravens respond with the second-ranked total offense in the NFL. The staff of Baltimore Beatdown offers some bold predictions for the highly anticipated AFC match up.
Taylor Ciotola:
Baltimore’s defense controls the game, shutting down the Patriots offense, only allowing nine points. The secondary feasts with two turnovers and the defense suffocates the run game, leading to an absolute shut down and the best showing thus far from the defense.
Spencer Schultz:
The Patriots are unable to bottle up a refreshed Marquise Brown, who sees his first primetime action since he racked up over 200 yards as an Oklahoma Sooner against WVU. Hollywood explodes for 140 yards and a touchdown while the Ravens are able to stifle the Patriots in the red zone, allowing only one touchdown.
Dustin Cox:
Lamar Jackson continues his campaign for MVP with a standout performance against New England’s top-ranked defense. Bill Belichick cannot find an answer for Jackson as he is unable to contain him, allowing him to rush for over 100 yards for the third straight game and the fourth time of the season.
Baltimore’s defense wins the game, however, forcing two turnovers and limiting the Patriots to under 14 points and 300 yards offensively. Quarterback Tom Brady is held to under 200 yards passing.
