In a marquee AFC matchup, the Ravens will be missing their top run defender, who was unable to practice all week. At the same time, the team will be with one of their top offensive playmakers this year. Here are the Ravens’ inactives:

The absence of Michael Pierce will be of significance as the Ravens will need to find ways to slow down the Texans’ top five rushing offense. Pierce’s absence prompted the activations of newly acquired defensive tackles Domata Peko and Justin Ellis.
Chris Moore will also sit out of today’s game as he continues to deal with a thumb injury.
The Texans will also be missing a number of important players on both sides of the ball. Here are the Texans’ inactives:

Will Fuller V and Bradley Roby, who were both listed as questionable to play, will be sidelined as they continue to recover from injury. Another surprise inactive is that of Vernon Hargreaves III. After being claimed off of waivers this week, the former first-round draft pick will not be playing, despite Roby also being ruled out. The Ravens offense should look for opportunities to involve the wide receivers early against a thin group of cornerbacks.
Tackles Laremy Tunsil and Tytus Howard, who were also listed as questionable, will be active in today’s game.
