The Ravens will be without inside linebacker C.J. Mosley (knee) for the first time since October 2016. Mosley is dealing with a bone bruise that he suffered last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. He attempted to test the injury on Thursday, practicing and running sprints, but his knee just did not feel quite right.
Also missing for the Ravens is defensive tackle Michael Pierce. Pierce has a sore foot, but he practiced on Friday. He was limited and not expected to play today. Cornerback Anthony Averett is inactive, and he will be replaced by former practice squad corner Robertson Daniel.
With Mosley and Pierce inactive, Baltimore will have to find new ways to defend against Denver’s running game. Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay has also been able to exploit opposing defenses in the passing game.
