The Ravens winning streak is finally over, as it was snapped by the Oakland Raiders in Week 12. A big time effort from Michael Crabtree in his revenge game against his old squad was undone by two Joe Flacco pick sixes that iced the game for the Raiders.
Those two errors were so costly that the coaching staff decided to throw in Lamar Jackson in the last two minutes of garbage time, which resulted in an uneventful debut that ended with a lost fumble on a scramble. Despite the meltdown, Flacco has performed well enough that it is safe to assume he will be holding onto the job for the long term.
He heads into Week 13 with the Ravens sitting at 7-4 and licking their chops to get to the eight win mark in the first week of December. To do so, they will have to beat the Atlanta Falcons and Flacco’s old friend Matt Ryan.
Atlanta is bound to be strong again this year, with some predicting another Super Bowl run. But first the Falcons have to get through the Ravens.
