Madden’s Week 5 prediction: Smoke to the post

The Ravens have hit what can kindly be described as a worst-case scenario for the first quarter of the season. After winning in Week One against the Bills they lost three straight to the Bengals, Broncos, and most recently Steelers in a heartbreaking last-second loss.

They fought tooth-and-nail against Pittsburgh, trying to salvage the rough start they had gotten off to, but just didn’t have enough to get it done. Funny enough, Joe Flacco’s job looked to be in jeopardy but he’s safe again after another big time performance in Heinz Field.

He now takes that newfound job security into another away stadium he’s had a ton of success in: First Energy Stadium in Cleveland. If the Ravens can’t get it done against the Browns this week, they may as well pack it in as far as trying to be competitive this year.
