The Baltimore Ravens have previously lost players such as Mike Wallace, Michael Campanaro, and Benjamin Watson on last years offense this offseason. All of this was done due to the fact that Baltimore wanted to change things up on offense, and now another player from a year ago is now officially off the market.
Running back Terrence West was the starter in mid-2015 and all of 2016. The Ravens got the Towson alum off waivers after he his stints with the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. In 2017, West suffered a calf injury and he watched as Alex Collins, another guy who the team claimed off waivers, ran away as the teams leading rusher. West only played five games last season.
Now, after visiting the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles, West has signed with the New Orleans Saints, per ESPNs Herbie Toepe.
#Saints are signing RB Terrance West, according to a source. West was among the veterans RBs the Saints worked out today.

West rushed for 774 yards in 2016, and scored five touchdowns during his time in Baltimore. The Saints have Alvin Kamara, but lost Mark Ingram to a four-game suspension, hence the need for a running back. The Saints also had Jamaal Charles in for a workout. West will now compete for playing time in New Orleans with Jonathan Williams, Boston Scott, Trey Edmund. and Daniel Lasco.
Edit: As reported by Mike Triplett of ESPN, the Saints and West have yet to finalize on a deal. He says it‘s still possible the two sides get a deal done. New Orleans also worked out veteran running back Shane Vereen as well as West and Jamaal Charles.
Although a deal could materialize between the Saints and RB Terrance West, nothing has been finalized yet, per sources. Shane Vereen was also a part of the Saints’ veteran RB audition Wednesday that included West and Jamaal Charles.
