The Saints have signed Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith to an offer sheet. Chicago has the chance to match the offer, or Meredith will join New Orleans.

The deal is reportedly a two-year worth $10 million. The Ravens were involved with Meredith as they had him in for a visit. Now, their focus can shift to Saints wide receiver Willie Snead, who they have also shown interest in. If the Bears decline to match the offer, then Meredith will most likely replace Snead in New Orleans’ offense. This could very well mean that any offer Baltimore extended to Snead would not be matched by the Saints.

Though Meredith is an intriguing player who showed promise in Chicago before tearing his ACL in the preseason of 2017, Snead would perhaps be the safer option. Snead has had more than just one year of quality production, unlike Meredith, and is not recovering from a knee injury.

If the Bears fail to match the offer for Meredith, then be on the watch for an offer to Snead from the Ravens shortly afterward.
