Welcome to the Ravens, Zach Sieler! pic.twitter.com/JQegsBgq7d
To try and not take away from the young man on this great day, let’s talk about the player, not the general manager.
Sieler is a proto-typical big-man on the line. He stands 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds. In the seventh, this isn’t a bad spot, due to his draft projection anywhere from the fifth- to seventh-round. My first draft as a writer, I covered how Brandon Williams was going to produce at the NFL level due to constantly abusing the small-school talent around him. Sieler feels the same, as he man-handled players game-after-game, play-after-play. He did run on the end in a 4-3, but here with Baltimore he can jump around inside and outside. I think he does have the tools to become a starter, but I certainly I expect him to contribute as a depth player for the Ravens in the coming season. I really like this pick here in the seventh.
