WIth the 32nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens have selected Lamar Jackson, a quarterback out of the University of Louisville.

Jackson is a dual-threat quarterback, who totalled 9,043 career passing yards, and 4,132 rushing yards. Jackson won the Heisman trophy after his sophomore season, and was a Heisman finalist in his junior season.

Jackson has been one of the most dynamic quarterbacks the draft has to offer. Jackson’s running ability is unparalleled by any other quarterback in the draft, and he has an incredibly strong arm, drawing many comparisons to Michael Vick. Below is a highlight video from Jackson’s college career.

The biggest knock on Jackson is durability concerns stemming from his relatively slim frame, however, Jackson has never missed a college game.

The selection of Jackson marks a turning point for the Ravens franchise, as Jackson will be the successor to Joe Flacco, and with a vastly different style of play, will change how the team plays dramatically. He certainly adds an excitement factor the Ravens don’t have right now.
