Ravens safety Eric Weddle said he has reached out to former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant during Tuesday’s press conference.
Weddle acknowledges that he reached out to Dez Bryant. Doesn’t sound like they’ve connected yet.

Despite Baltimore now being the favorites to land Bryant, it doesn’t seem like there is a ton of mutual interest yet. Bryant has expressed desire to play against the Cowboys twice a year, but teams in the NFC East haven’t shown desire to sign the 29-year old veteran receiver. This would seemingly leave Bryant’s wish list to teams who play Dallas in the 2018 season, which does not include the Ravens.
Weddle has been a driving force for recruiting free agents to Baltimore since he joined the team in 2016. Players such as Jeremy Maclin, Tony Jefferson, Danny Woodhead, and Michael Crabtree are some of the players Weddle has helped bring to the Ravens.
It remains to be seen if Dez Bryant will end up in Baltimore, but it certainly isn’t an issue of cap space, whether Bryant’s desire to be a Raven.
