With Steve Bisciotti the only man in attendance for the Ravens’ annual “State of the Ravens,” breaking news has surfaced from the owner himself.
Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome will step down after the 2018 NFL season.
Bisciotti said Newsome will step down as GM next year and DeCosta will take over.

This is enormous news as Newsome has been the leader of the front office since the Ravens’ inception in 1996. Following the move, Assistant General Manager Eric DeCosta will finally be promoted into the position after years of patience. He’s declined numerous other teams’ interview requests.
It should be noted, Newsome is not leaving the Ravens completely, but rather stepping down from the GM position. In some capacity, he will continue working with the team.
