Another day, another tweet from Tony Jefferson regarding Jarvis Landry. This time, however, a familiar face decided to join in on the fun.
If the Miami Dolphins choose not to franchise tag their star wide receiver, then all indications point to him hitting the open market. Players like Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson are making sure he ends up in a Ravens jersey if that happens.
Weddle, Jefferson, and countless Ravens fans have been recruiting Landry on Twitter for a while, but they have a new partner in crime: Jimmy’s Famous Seafood. Yep, the same Jimmy’s Seafood that helped lure Jeremy Maclin to Baltimore last offseason with the promise of lifetime free crabcakes. Whether that had much of an impact on Maclin actually choosing the Ravens remains unknown, but still, it was a nice cherry on top.
Pro Football Focus tweeted this about Landry.

Ravens safety Tony Jefferson chimed in, of course.

It’s the usual deal. A tweet from, or about, Landry almost always receives a reply from Jefferson or Weddle. This time, however, Jimmy’s Seafood let a little secret slip.
Monday too soon.. but get it ready..

Both Ravens players and the community seem to really want Landry in purple and black next season. Jefferson was recruited in a similar way by Weddle last offseason, and now he is returning the favor. It’s nice to have players so passionate about improving their team and pleasing the fans.
There have been reports that the Ravens tried to trade for Landry before the start of the 2017 season, but the Dolphins’ asking price was too much at the time. The interest is certainly there from Baltimore’s side. Now, the question is, is it there for Landry as well?
